Macon has co-hosted the Green Light Pod with Chris Long since its inception. He continues to show up to recordings of the show despite reservations about the entire operation. “My dumb voice undermines my unyielding desire to be liked,” he said.

Decades of friendship before co-hosting
Macon and Chris Long met on a playground in 1997. Chris made fun of Macon’s name, and they have been friends ever since. Macon’s comedic influences include Tom Wambsgans and Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham.
He doesn’t care for his Twitter moniker, @MaconPlays, claiming it’s corny, but he can’t think of anything better.
Macon sincerely hopes that, if you’re reading this, you’re having a good day. He won his family’s Man of the Year award in 2020 and 2021.
